8 Gays Discharged from South Korean Military
Perhaps most interesting about today's article, however, is news that South Korean human rights groups have started to advocate for protecting gay troops. Today's articles states that those groups are urging South Korean officials to "make efforts to protect homosexual soldiers who they claim are vulnerable to abuse during their service period."
According to the Center for the Study of Sexual Minorities in the Military, 24 nations now allow gays to serve openly.
