Please take time today to vote in your local elections. And when you vote, remember the 65,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans on duty in our armed forces, serving under the federally sanctioned silence of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

Ask candidates in your local and statewide races about their positions on repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” Check online to see if they are already a co-sponsor of legislation to allow gays to serve openly. And cast your vote for candidates who support every American’s freedom to serve.

We can repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” by electing candidates who put qualification ahead of discrimination.
