And the Nominees Are . . .

The nominations are out for the 18th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, and SLDN congratulates two nominees who are near and dear to our hearts.

ABC's Good Morning America received a nod in the 'Outstanding TV Journalism - News Segment' for its piece titled 'Military Expulsion,' about dismissed Arabic linguist (and SLDN client) Bleu Copas. You can watch the GMA segment online here.

And we also congratulate Detroit News columnist Deb Price (pictured) for her nomination in 'Outstanding Newspaper Columnist' category. Deb has been a long-time advocate of repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," and has written some of the best mainstream media coverage of the topic.
