The San Diego Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center has announced that it will partner with the U.S. Library of Congress in an effort to document the stories of LGBT veterans. The
Veteran’s History Project will rely on volunteers to help collect and preserve stories of wartime service. Each interview will be recorded by audio or video, and added to the official archives at the Library of Congress. In honor of Veteran’s Day, interviews will be conducted throughout the month of November.
The first volunteer training will take place on Sat., Nov. 4 from 10am-1pm at
The Center, 3909 Centre St. It will be lead by Jo'el Roth, a regional representative from the Library of Congress.
