"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" In the News

It was a busy weekend in the media for "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

First, Congressman Marty Meehan (D-MA) [pictured], the lead sponsor of the Military Readiness Enhancement Act, told the Boston Globe on Satuday that he will vigorously push for hearings on repeal in the 110th Congress.

Then, on Sunday, Newsweek followed up with an article of its own about repeal efforts . . . which led to Senator John McCain being put in the hot seat on ABC's This Week about the subject.

And finally, Congressman Barney Frank (D-MA) and Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) spoke at this weekend's International Gay & Lesbian Leadership Conference, where they also spoke about repeal of the military's ban. Pam Spaulding, blogger extraordinaire, has a wrap up here.

The wheels are in motion, and the movement for repeal is picking up momentum!
